What Valheim 1.0 actually asks you to do
Valheim is Iron Gate’s Viking survival game, published by Coffee Stain. You wake in a procedurally generated afterlife, gather wood and flint, raise a hall, and hunt eight Forsaken bosses so Odin will take you seriously. Version 1.0 shipped on 9 September 2026 with the frozen Deep North, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 editions, and full crossplay for up to ten players. Progression is the spine of the wiki. Start with the getting started guide, learn the controls, then follow the biome order from Meadows to Deep North. When a Vegvisir marks a stone circle, open the boss walkthrough. New to the tenth world? Follow these steps before you hunt Eikthyr.

Make a fresh 1.0 world
Iron Gate recommends a new world so Deep North generates correctly. Old saves still update, but unexplored chunks are where the ice appears. Confirm world modifiers before you spawn.

Shelter, fire, and three foods
Punch beech, grab flint, craft a hammer and workbench, then a roofed bed. Cook meat and berries so the rest meter fills. The getting started guide covers the first night.

Beat Eikthyr, then follow biomes
Two deer trophies summon the stag. His antlers unlock the pickaxe. After that, stick to the biome order and the boss walkthrough instead of wandering into the Swamp in leather.

Does Valheim have redeemable gift codes?
No. The codes hub is a console-command reference (devcommands, god, spawn). Cheats disable achievements for that session.
